RELEASE

PARTIES COVERED BY RELEASE

This release applies to Iris Global and all of its members, directors, officers, affiliates, subsidiaries, auxiliaries, and related organizations and individuals, including, but not limited to, Iris Ministries, Inc., Rolland Baker, Heidi Baker, and/or any other employee, contractor, and/or agent of any of the foregoing, and including all fictitious business names, including Iris School and Harvest School (collectively referred to as “Iris”). My participation in any Iris activity and/or my entry onto Iris property is deemed sufficient consideration for this release.

LIABILITY WAIVER

I know that travel and participation in ministry activities can involve danger and risk, particularly when such activities are international. I acknowledge that the dangers and risks include, but are not limited to:

• Hazards of travel by air, boat, raft, jeep, automobile, bus, taxi, bicycle, and on foot;


• Crashes, rollovers, unanticipated stops, breakdowns in dangerous circumstances, perilous roads and pathways;


• Travel in foreign countries, jungles, mountains, high altitudes, and steep terrain, with risk of falling or attacks by animals;


• Reckless, negligent, or unlicensed individuals facilitating travel or events;


• Dangerous persons such as murderers, rapists, guerrilla soldiers, and the mentally ill;


• Exposure to diseases, unstable political or religious environments;


• Lack of adequate medical care or law enforcement;


• Exposure to crime, civil unrest, and forces of nature.

I understand that the very essence of Iris's mission is to operate within these risky environments. I know and understand that Iris does not accept responsibility for injury, illness, or loss, and that all related expenses are my responsibility.

I acknowledge that I must carry insurance covering personal injury, kidnap, emergency evacuation, and medical treatment. I assume all risks and agree to hold Iris Global harmless from any legal claims related to my participation.

Before agreeing to this release, I confirm that I have independently researched and accepted the risks, and I rely only on what is stated in this document. Legal jurisdiction is agreed to be in California, governed by California law.

These acknowledgments and agreements are binding upon me, my family, minors in my care, heirs, and legal representatives.

UNKNOWN CLAIMS

I knowingly and voluntarily waive rights under Section 1542 of the California Civil Code:

“A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS WHICH THE CREDITOR DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE, WHICH IF KNOWN BY HIM OR HER MUST HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR.”

I accept all risks and responsibilities for my mental, physical, dietary, and medical conditions, and Iris has made no promises regarding accommodations for such concerns.

PUBLICITY RELEASE

I grant Iris the unlimited right to photograph, record, and use my likeness in any media, for any purpose, in perpetuity. Iris owns all rights to resulting content (“Materials”), including copyrights, whether created now or in the future, in any medium.

I assign all rights to Iris and waive any claims of defamation, privacy invasion, or misuse of my image or content created during my participation.

MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

I confirm that I am over 18 years of age. Any dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration in Shasta County, California, under AAA jurisdiction. The prevailing party is entitled to legal fees. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder remains valid.

MINOR RESPONSIBILITY

If this release is signed on behalf of a minor, I confirm I am the parent/legal guardian, legally authorized to consent, and accept full legal responsibility for the minor under this agreement.

DISCIPLINE POLICY

As a Harvest School participant, I agree to follow the biblical model of discipline and the leadership's decisions. Based on Matthew 18:15-17:

• If you have a conflict, approach the person directly, in love, and resolve it, preferably in a public setting if of the opposite sex.


• If unresolved, bring the issue to a Harvest School staff member for guidance.


• If still unresolved, a meeting with staff and School Leaders will be held.


• Rebellion to correction will be escalated to School Directors for final decisions.


• Severe issues like assault, sexual misconduct, or drug/alcohol use will lead to immediate expulsion without refund.

Should expulsion occur, an incident report will be completed and signed by all parties.

I acknowledge that I have read and understood all the clauses of this agreement. By signing this document online, I agree to all the conditions described above.
